Implementation Analysis of Army Polytechnic Research Management for The Armament Development of The Indonesian Army

Implementing Vocational Higher Education in The Army Polytechnic (Poltekad) has used the Triple Helix approach: universities, private sector, and government. In its development, Poltekad contributes to direction of development Army’s technological innovation field. Based on observations results research, it yet be utilized optimally fulfilling equipment weapons. last three years, 2020–2022, 163 final research assignments were recorded by students, 40 lecturers. However, only eight lecturers’ become models with potential for defense Army. This study uses a qualitative method, specifically case study. show that not been able play role as university, but is still limited function vocational education institution technology allocation funds relatively small compared benefits support Armaments. themes lecturers students are entirely following needs Indonesian weaponry technology. absence external monitoring evaluation team programs, educational laboratory facilities, qualified researchers environment several reasons optimizing utilization which cannot carried out downstream implementation production activities Defense Industry Indonesia stated vision.
